created new folder- wrong drive

Right now, I am importing all new images to my Gexternal drive). I would right click on G: and create a new folder inside G. So far, so good- no problems.
I am reading M. Evening's book on adding new folders. I click on the plus icon to create a new folder. I gave it a name- China. The problem is that the folder is under C:. Is it possible to use the plus icon to create a folder in one of the external hard drives like G: ??

When you use the Folders panel, select Add Folder, the dialog box that opens should allow you to create a folder on any hard disk.

I forgot to open computer where the drives are hidden. I like 'right clicking' the G: which is a bit faster(or less steps).
