CR2 file type import fails

I cannot import CR2 files at all into Lightroom (2.5). I am using a Canon xsi on a Mac running 1'.5.8 I have updated all of my Adobe products with the latest versions and updates. I have 1.5 gb ram. I can import them into Adobe Bridge but the dng convert fails. I have to use the Canon software to import them, then they will open in both Lightroom and Bridge. Any ideas?

Hi jae, welcome to the forum!

Few questions for a start:

Does the DNG conversion say why it's failing? And does LR give you a reason it can't import?

What import settings are you using (i.e. add at existing location vs. copy/move)?

Are you importing directly from a camera, or using a card reader, or importing files already on the hard drive?
