A different problem.
The other day I was in a hurry and when I started LR accidently clicked the "backup" button instead of the "skip now" button. Not wanting to sit and wait while it did its business I tried to stop the process by repeatedly pressing the escape button.
It did stop the process but then a warning box came up and said the catalogue was corrupted and LR needed to carryout a check and will advise me on what I action I need to take. Again tried to escape and restart but the same warning kept coming up so had no alternative but to go through the checking process.
1 hour later I get the all clear...problem has been resolved and you may continue...
This just should not happen...at least there as no harm done and I had a fairly recent back-up catalogue.
