I'm not sure where to begin troubleshooting this problem. I've taken jpegs from the web and other machines and placed them on the desktop, copied and pasted ect. -- no problems. So I'm thinking this is a Lightroom problem.
Running LR 2.2 in OSX 1'.5, I export 72'px jpegs to the desktop using a preset. Once the files reach the desktop, only the first displays a picture icon, the rest show the default jpeg icon. When opened, Preview freezes. Opened in a Finder window shows a file size: Fetching... followed by a Finder crash. Opening the "Get Info" box via right-click shows a 1/4 sized (tiny) Get Info window followed by a Finder crash.
No idea if this is related or not... adjustment brushes and graduated filters haven't worked correctly for months now. I can apply them but the Edit function is always grayed-out and un-clickable.
Exporting to other places or even an external hard drive yields similar results... BUT after placing the corrupt files on a thumb drive, I was able to open then on a different machine with no problems (but no preview icons).
I'm installing 2.3 now. This has me slowly pulling my hair out because all of my work is in this one catalog. Would hate to loose over a year's worth of work.
