Corrput Catalog....

Hello everyone,
Having a little trouble.... I got a corrupt catalog today! I had the grey screen rain down on me during an import (kernel panic?)
Little background I was using LR 1.1 on my Macbook Pro.
The last back up I have is one from may 2''9..... I know... shame on me....
I am running LR 2.4 (demo) from the May catalog, my question is this how does one re-import the images from the old catalog.
I understand they still exist, that was the first thing I checked....
I have had a very productive couple of months and my catalog is about 2',''' images short.
Is there a quick work around? really would hate to have to reimport and work in all the keywording and such....

any info would help a lot...

Matthew, welcome - do not panic!!Let me see if I've got this clear, the Catalog you were using was in LR 2.4 and was upgraded from a LR1.1 catalog from May?You do have the corrupt one around?How do you know it won't work? What messages are you getting?Don't try anything with the catalog if it won't open except make a copy of it.

The catalog corrupted was from 1.1.... i did some research and moved it to a different folder... I then updated ligthroom (demo 2.4).... I wanted to see if it would solve my problem.... I tried to start from the corrupted catalog ( in 2.4 ) and i got a message saying the catalog was corrupted and needed repair... so tried to repair it ... no luck.....
I do have it saved in another folder.

I am running 2.4 right now... I have a wedding I need to deliver soon....
