Convert to linear

Minor importance issue maybe, but suddenly I noticed, that the possibility to "Convert to linear image" in "Convert Photo to DNG"-window has disappeared. I have not recognised
in wich version this happened??

It is hidden behind the [Change Preferences] button. In the Compatibility dropdown, choose <Custom>, then DNG 1.3 and check <Linear> and/or <Uncompressed>.

Quick question, what camera are the files from? I believe there are a few cameras that apply specific lens corrections to the raw data, and therefore, Lr/ACR requires a linear DNG to decode them. Since I don't use any of those cameras, I don't know for sure, but if that's the case, the files may already be linear, and hence no option is provided. Just a semi-educated (wild-a$$) guess on my part, willing to be educated.

Actually, I have very little call to run DNG Converter since my camera natively writes DNG files. I have had to use DNG Converter to DNGs out of my camera to match requirements of external editors that won't read my un-demosaiced, uncompressed DNGs (Yes, DNG Converter will convert DNGs to DNG.)

And to answer another of out OPs questions, I think the hidden preference change occured between v4.6 and v5.4 IIRC, v6.4 was the first version of DNG Converter to support the DNG 1.3 spec.

This option really seems still to be left in Adobe DNG Converter (as clee'1 says), but not any more in LR's current version. And Brad, my RAW-files come from Canon
EOS4'D and EOS2'D. I was just curious, never really used linear conversion, just
experimenting all kind of things in LR sometimes. Thank you for your answers.
