Convert to DNG on Import while JPG's present

I'm not sure if it's a bug, but at least it's something worthwhile noticing.

After shooting half a card, I was ready to copy from the card using LR. For a while now (new year's resolution) I import from device using the preset "Copy photos as Digital Negative (DNG) and import" . This time I had shot in RAW and JPG. The import was very fast, which should have alerted me. But hey, when something is faster then expected one usually just smiles and continues.

At the end of the import, it did say something like 'Non-raw files were not converted to DNG' which seemed quite ok, I crossed the "don't tell me this next time" box and got started on the photos.

I must say that I'm lucky to find this out today,
being on a relaxed shoot experimenting with lighting glass and not on a hi-octane multi-card shoot. I could have formatted the card after seeing my photos in LR....

Anyway, started working on the files, it took a couple of minutes for me to realize that I was looking at just the JPGs. Normally I wouldn't see them, I configure LR to show me just the raws. After checking the hard drive, they were not there either.

Then I just imported again, using the same settings, and then the raws were imported just fine.

Anyone recognizes this behaviour?

In Lightroom's configuration, there is a checkbox as to treat RAW+JPG having the same name as being separate or not. Do you think you may have changed it?...

While I like many things about LR, I use a program called Image Ingester to rename and backup my files when I ingest them. It works seemlessly with Adobe's DNG Converter software, and better fits my needs for backing up images before and after DNG conversion (if you chjoose to convert your files to DNG). After Image Ingester is complete, I let LR import the files, already renamed, backed up and converted. Just a suggestion.
