I'd like to know ...

My machine is CONSTANTLY re-rendering everything from thumbs in the film-strip to images in E or Dev mode. Even after 1:1 previews are made for a folder. The film strip in Dev module will start dark, and one by one starting on the left, the thumbs will get lighter over about a minute. Go farther along in the strip after they've done their thing, come back to the same place, same story ... start dark, change one-by-one.

You can't of course choose a group of images to work on for similar changes until the screen has changed ... and if the selection is going to go off the screen, you have to wait again until that visible group has changed.

Any way to get it to do this once, and right, and just use the correct image the next time?

Whatever about Loupe View, Develop has to create a preview when you work in it, otherwise you'd be working with a cached preview, which isn't a 1''% accurate rendition of the file. And as you make changes, it needs to render again. It makes it quicker by only rendering what's visible.

As to constant rendering in Loupe view? If you've already rendered them, then it shouldn't need to keep doing it, unless you change something. 1:1 preview times are based on the internal settings, so if you discard quickly, it will need to be rerendered as you zoom in.

This has happened to me too. I would select an image to adjust exposure and a few other would just go into overexposure. I sat for hours just trying to adjust the ones that keep rendering and it happens throughout the entire group of images I am trying to adjust. I have version 1.4.1 Is this a problem with this version ? Frustrated !!! I am new on this forum. I have shooting for over 35 years. thanks
