I've learned my lesson (DON'T use multiple catalogs!), but in combining the ones I had already created I have run into a serious glitch. I tried to do this very systematically:
1. New folder in Pictures for LR Only
2. In that folder, a folder for photos and a second for the ALLCatalog.
3. Opened old catalogs one by one and MOVED photos to new photos catalog.
4. Soon I had over 40,000 pictures in my new ALLCatalog!
5. DISASTER STRICKS! A few days and I try to open the ALLCatalog and blank pictures blocks are showing and it says there are only 113 photos!
6. The blank picture blocks CANNOT be identified and cannot be deleted, and I have no idea what they are. What should I do?
7. I SUSPECT LR is looking in the wrong place for photos? How can I tell.
Help, PLEASE!
