canon EOS 5D set on 56''K.
when choosing colour temperature "as photographed(captured?)" it goes to 52''K.
Does anybody know why?
Thanks

The color temperature isn't recorded in the raw file as simple numbers (temp and tint). Instead, it is stored as coordinates in the camera's color space of a neutral color. These coordintes are translated into temperature and tint through the camera profile, and LR/ACR uses a different profile than the camera does.

That said, because of the way the encoding is done, the neutral color is still matched between the camera and LR/ACR, even though the numbers are different.
