I just got a new Hiti S42' printer for making small prints.
It comes with a color profile (only one since there is no choice in paper for this dye-sub printer) and works fine with PSE6.

With LR 2.3RC, no matter what i try, i get dark and oversaturated prints.
LR prints fine on my other printers but with this new HiTi no matter what setting i try i get bad prints, even when i use managed by printer.

Strangely enough, i got one good print out of LR, namely the first ever, since then it's gone potty.

System: Macbook pro, osx 1'.5.6

Thanks for your interest.
I tried just about every possible combination, but as i see it, it should work with the following procedure.

I use a color test photo in Srgb (i do have the same problem with all other photo's to), no editing is done, just printing.
Setting in LR 2.3 RC:
- draf printing unticked
- print resolution 4'3 ppi (printer native resolution)
- print sharpening standard - media glossy
- no 16 bit output
- color management: - profile HiTi S4'' series (supplied by printer maker and works with PSE6)
- rentedering relative

Setting printer driver by either print setting button or print:
- preset standard
- color tab - color preference set to no preference
- manual
- no changes on the sliders for adjustment

The printer settings are like HiTi suggests in their manual and works fine with PSE6.

The same photo prints fine on my other printers (HP B918' and Epson 788')

In colorsync the same printer profile is used as factory standard.

Looks like a double color management. If you choose a profile in Lightroom, you must not choose one in the printer's driver! You have to set the driver to no color management as it is handled by Lightroom. If not possible then set Lightroom to "Managed by Printer" and choose profile in driver.

Yes it does look like double colour management.
As far as i know, colourmanagement is turned on in the printer driver. There is no explicit option to do this and i'm following the manufacture's instructions on it. Same procedure work fine in PS.

Managed by printer gives the same, dark and oversaturated prints, with just a slight change in the colour spectrum that looks very much like the difference i see from using the profile or using application managed in PS.
