Colorprofile from LR to PS

Hi guys. I'm having problems with color settings in both LR and PS

I'm shooting with a D7'' and in 14bit sRGB mode. However on LR I have set it to sRGB when exporting to PS, and on PS the default colorspace is sRGB 2.1

However I saw that the raw files that are exported to photoshop lost a fair bit of color. LR shows a lot of vibrant colors but I don't understand why PS colors are so dull and desaturated.

I don't think sending sRGB to PS and then using sRGB in PS is the way to go. Well, fundamentally, it can be what you want, but you're throwing away a lot of your 14bit data in the transfer.

Have a look at a guide Victoria put together on her blog, and see if that helps anything. Let us know, either way

I just changed it to the settings recommended. All prophoto rgb. I still have the same problem. Anyone can help me out? I'm going to get it calibrated tomorrow and see what happens

If the updated calibration doesn't fix it, I think it's time to see a screenshot of the PS image and the LR image in the same screenshot. That may provide clues.

Possible answer is that when you preview your image in-camera you are looking at a JPG image which contains all of your camera settings. When you export to LR or PS in RAW, you are now looking at a RAW image which does not contain any of the camera settings. The only post processing program I know of that will read your camera settings is Capture NX. Try this...take an image in JPG. Then take the exact same image in RAW. Import both into LR. This should illustrate what I am poorly trying to explain... Also, if you apply any of LRs camera calibration profiles (bottom of the right panel in the Develop Module) you may get closer to what you expect.

What you say is correct Scott but is not related to the o/p's issue. To clarify,
they look fine in LR but when exported to PS as sRGB they look dull.

punkjumper, there's a couple of issues running in this thread, so which are you having trouble with, and what have you tried so far?

Another shot in the dark answer- but perhaps you have accidentaly enabled soft proofing mode in PS? This might give desaturated colors no matter what you have the color settings configured to
