I continue to have trouble printing from LR. It seems to occur primarily when I have used Develop presets such as sepia. I usually get prints that are much darker than on the monitor (about 3 stops).
I use Epson stylus photo22'', ICC profile applied by printer, preceptual
the profile set on LR is Stylus Photo 22'', which is not set to paper type (luster)(these were giving me a bad red cast)

I have tried several various settings, with no good results.
Prints with no presets, general adjustments seem to print well.

The presets, some are defalt LR , some are downloads recomended by LR site.
Is there an extra step that makes has the preset "stick" to the print that I am not doing?
What am I missing?

Voyta, you are the out put from LR is "managed by printer" and you are setting the profile in the printer driver?
Try letting LR manage the print and setting the profile in LR. You should have Epson profiles available, if not d/load them from Epson.

This is where I may be confused,

LR is set such it manages them, however in the epson window for the ICC profile, am I to check "no color adjustment" so LR does the managing?

I would think so. Am not familiar with that printer but yes you need to have colour management turned off in the printer.
Did you manage to get the paper profiles for your printer from Epson??

I did get the epson profiles, but I think LR had the same, it did not seem to make much difference. Basically you either have the printer set the color or the program/LR, correct? and in general it is better to have LR do it?

I will have to make a number of test runs as it is still off.

Any tips would be great. Thanks

Yep, that is correct. You choose one or the other and most agree that using LR to manage is best.

This is a good resource for everything LR. It can be accessed through the help menu within LR
