Sorry I haven't been here in a while...so I just uninstalled Microsoft Office and that solved the problem of the Outlook Profile window. I haven't reinstalled Office yet to see if the problem comes up again though. BUT Lightroom still freezes up when I try to import something - either via the "Import..." button or through File->Import...

Man-oh-man I am frustrated!!!

Another problem that has come up is the color of my image gets messed up when I view the file in an adobe program (Lightroom or CS2)...I somewhat remedied the problem in CS2 by selecting View->Proof Setup->Monitor RGB but when I close the program and open the image again, it defaults to the messed up color setting :( See images below.

This is the file opened with Windows Picture Viewer:

This is the same file opened in CS2 before I would select View->Proof Setup->Monitor RGB:

Any ideas?
It might be hard to see right here - the shadow areas are very clogged/mucky...I'm sure this is a typical problem and there's a quick solution. Well, at least I'm hoping that's the case ;)

Thanks!

First impressions... Windows Viewer is not likely color managed and therefore is not a good tool to judge color in an image, and are you using a calibrated monitor?

An sRGB image is as close as you'll get to a 'correct' view in Windows Picture Viewer. Ian's absolutely right, it's not colour managed at all.
