i'm using lr 2.1 on a mac and printing to a canon pixma pro 9''' on ilford galerie paper. i d'loaded the profile from the ilford site and i'm selecting it inside of lightroom (i'm on the 'print' tab and i chose the profile under the 'color management' dropdown.)

i see wording that reminds me to turn off color management in the print dialog box when using a custom profile but, for the life of me, i can't find this option.

any direction?

thanks.

Welcome to the forums Joeq!
Ken wrote something of interest to you in this thread. Look for post #7 where I highlighted Pro 9''' in red.

I don't have this printer so I can't help. Probably better going in the other thread and ask Ken.

But neither you nor Ken have a signature telling us what your LR version and OS are. Maybe he is on Mac and you on Windows so you don't see the same?

You can fill in the details for your signature (take example from others below their messages) by clicking on "User CP" top of the forums just below the LR logo...

That setting is in the printer driver, which you access via 'Page Setup ....' , on the lower Left Hand Panel in Print module.

Note that there's really no standard terminology for turning off the printer's color management, but it will be called something like that.

I have your printer. I'm on Windows Vista. I see two buttons in the bottom right hand corner of the module. Clicking "Print" will open the printer dialogue box and "properties" will get you into the printer settings. In the Main tab and Color/Intensity, click the "Manual" rdio button. and "Set". Under Color Correction, choose "none".

Bob's your uncle.

OK. Lest us know the results as we are suspense fighters here. We like final solutions as fast as possible. ;)

Hi there, I just joined the forum to try and get an answer to the same question JoeQ originally asked. I went through the all the posible dialog boxes suggested and still can't find a mechanism to turn off the printer's colour management. Joe, did you solve the problemo?

(Am also using the canon pixma pro 9''', LR 2.6, Mac OSX 1'.6..)

Have a look at this article, while it does not refer to your specific Canon printer it may give you an idea what to look for.
