Hi

Upgraded from 32 to 64 bit vista. Once i changed the read only permissions everything came through except the Color labels.

Lrcat, previews, preferences stored on my internal HD
Images on external.

When viewing library and the smart collections, 4 green labels and 2133 "why no label", yet there appears no colors on any of the images. If there was no color on the other 48'' images they should appear in the smart collection, but don't. So the smart collection suggests that the 48'' image unaccounted for have metadata that excludes it from the smart collection, but does not include it other smart collections or in the library proper.

When i check any of my backups the same thing happens, no colors appear.

HELP?

Are they actually stripped, or just hidden?

Check in the Metadata panel and see if it says Label.

2 likely options:

1. Go to View > View Option and turn the colour labels back on.
2. Go to Metadata > Colour Label Set and check the names match the names of your colour labels.

Did both and worked like a charm.

Seems the color label set i had, went AWOL in the transfer to 64 bit. Could not find the old one, but when i created a new one with the same wording a previous, all the colors labels returned to there rightful owners.

Interesting that the smart collection for the colors still chose to exclude them even though the label set was missing, and then the other smart collection 'why no label' chose not to include them. Why would that be?

thanks again Victoria
