Collections subfolders Children

I have a problem getting the function Create collection as Child of this collection - When I click on the + at collections jI get a menu as follows: Create Collection..... - Create Smart collection....... - Create collection Set...... et Sort by Name - Sort by kind.
I then create a collection and when I click on the right side of the mouse - with the new created collection highlighted I should get a menu with the following choices: Create Collection.... - Create Collection as Child of this collection... Rename - Delete.... - Add Selected Photo to this collection et export this collection as a Catalog.
Instead I get the following menu: Create Collection......- Create Smart Collection..... - Create collection set.......- Rename - Delete - Export this collection as Catalog....- Import Smart collection settings....

I cannot get or find the menu Create Collection as Child of this Collection.

What am I doing wrong?

Welcome. You can not do this in 2.x. You have to make a Collection Set under the Main Collection or Start with a Top Collection Set, Then one or more COllections (Smart or 'Dumb') and then a Collection Set under that in which you can add more Collections.

Thank you Don - I suspected it was a very simple solution but could not figure it out. You saved me a lot of valuable time. I now realize I was reading from a Lightroom version 1 book to find the solution.

[/quote]You are welcome. As you can see from the Screen shot I use Collections extensively, both Smart and 'Dumb' ones.

They are very handy. I like how, with Collection Sets, they mimic the way Galleries and sets of Galleries are handled at SMugMug, where I have my images displayed.
