I have always closed out of LRC by clicking on the small X in the top right corner of my screen. Now I have no "X" .... Where ever can it have disappeared to ?

Obviously I can close by Ctrl + Q or File -> Exit ... but why can't I see my "X" ?

Are you in LrC full screen mode where Microsoft has hidden the Window controls? If so the quit full screen mode to reveal the Microsoft Windows controls (On a Mac, moving my cursor to the top of the screen causes the Window controls to momentarily drop down from the top). Microsoft probably offers something similar.

Hit shift-F enough times to bring back the Close button.

Thanks gentlemen. Ctrl + Alt + F reverted me to Normal Screen Mode, which did the trick.
