Cloning/healing restrictions?

I'd like to start this off with one problem I'm having and move from there... :)

So it seems to be a SPOT brush. You can't clone out a line or something.. have to do it in a lot of spots - is this correct?

I'm running into a problem where I get "unfilled space" on the left/right (or top/bottom) of where the two brush spots meet/overlap. Any way to work out this issue apart from going into photoshop?

Cloning of this nature is best left to a pixel-based editor like Elements or Photoshop. The Spot Removal tool wasn't designed for this type of work.

Yes its very limited and very fiddly compared to photoshop. One workaround is to initially clone/heal using a small circle and then afterwards select each circle and enlarge them or move them by dragging the ring. By doing this I have been able to get circles to overlap much better.

On that note, I find it very difficult to find my "circles". For me they don't seem to be outlined or anything. Also very hard to try to overlap them - have to do as you mentioned.. make a smaller circle then enlarge it.

On that note, I find it very difficult to find my "circles". For me they don't seem to be outlined or anything. Also very hard to try to overlap them - have to do as you mentioned.. make a smaller circle then enlarge it.

When you select the clone / heal tool they should be visible. Just click on them to "select" them.

If you don't see them at all, press H to show/hide them.
