clone & heal to be like in PS

i would like to see the clone / heal process changed to the way it is in PS as its MUCH MUCH easier, but maybe that's just me??? it takes waaaaaaaaay too long in comparison and i even gave it a dozen photos before making my decision.

or does the whole RAW / DNG thing limit this?

While it is possible to do some cloning/healing in PS in a non-destructive manner, you have to take steps to do it that way. The tools, by nature, are destructive.

LR is designed to make all manipulations non-destructive. This is the approach for its clone/heal tool as well. Without needing to take any additional steps, your image is protected and never damaged by the process.

This is probably the reason the processes are different between the two programs.
