Clearing a cell in Custom Layout (Print Module)

I've looked in the menus and right-clicking etc. but haven't found a way to remove an image from a cell in a custom layout. I can delete the whole cell, but not simply remove an image, leaving the cell empty. Google was no help either. Is this just not possible?

The same. I do not know of a way. But why would you need to?
You either want a photo in a cell or you don't want the cell there at all, and it is simple to change the photo by simply dragging on another photo.

You can do it by saving the Print - which becomes a collection - and then removing that photo from the Print collection. This then leaves a blank cell.

Unusual, I agree, but I wanted to print a single image twice on the same sheet of paper, using different ICC profiles for a visual comparison

Oh! Very good, I see how that would work. A bit convoluted but in the absence of a 'Clear cell' command it will do the trick. Not sure it's any quicker that deleting and recreating the cell though.

It's certainly convoluted, but it also keeps the empty cell exactly where you want. WIth the Print-collection saved, you can then print with some blank space or go off looking for other images to add to the collection and then to the print layout.

True.. it's a nice work around if the requirement is ongoing. Thanks for the idea.

Create an empty (=white) image and put it on the first place in the second run and the alternative on the second place and so on.

Thanks Franz - I did think of that one, but it seemed a bit like overkill for what I'd hoped would be a simple task.
