Changing Copyright

hi.
I currently have my copyright settings via my canon camera but i would now like to change the info instead of having it in camera i would like to set it up via lightroom.
Is it possible to create the copyright in lightroom and apply it to the photos which are already in my catalog or would it only apply only to new images that i import.

If you make a metadata preset in Lightroom it can be applied to any and all images in Lightroom.
BTW you might want to make a different preset for each year in question.
