I'm probably missing something painfully obvious but...
I'm using LR 2.4 & I want to have my RAW files show up in Develop initially with no adjustments at all. Don't ask me why - I just want to!
To do this I've opened a RAW file (I only shoot RAW, not RAW+ so all files have the same profile & I only shoot RAW with one camera), set everything (esp brightness, contrast, blacks & sharpening) to zero & then clicked "Develop"/ "Set default settings"/ "Update to current settings" but when I go to another RAW file (regardless of folder location or whether or not I've restarted LR) it pops up in Develop with the same Brightness +5', Contrast +25, Blacks +5, Sharpness +25. It's driving me bonkers - why won't it apply those zeroed defaults to every RAW file from the same camera that I open in the Develop module?!
In Preferences, by the way, none of the options in the top box of the Presets tab are ticked (ie no auto-tone, no default settings applied by ISO etc).
I realise I could simply apply the "General - zeroed" preset to every RAW file I open but that to me destroys the point of having defaults that one can supposedly set oneself!
Thanks for any suggestions,
David
