This seems an obvious question but I haven't come across an answer yet - I name my folders by date and they are listed from the oldest date down - can this be changed, I'd rather have the latest folder at the top...

Hi Mark, welcome to the forum!

It's a standard alpha-numeric sort, but a 'reverse sort' could be an interesting feature request.

In the meantime, you could consider nesting the folders, so that it's only a short list - ie. YYYY/MM/DD

Seconding request for Folder list in reverse alphabetical order

Most times that I open Lightroom, my first step is to grab the scroll thumb at the left of the Folders list and drag it to the bottom. Thus I would save time repeatedly if a Z-A button were available above the folder list.

For me the obvious solution is "Not use the Folder Panel". I keep my folder panel collapsed. Instead I have a Smart collection set In it are collections:
00.02.00 - Shot Today
00.02.01 - Shot Yesterday
00.02.02 - Shot in the Last Week
00.02.03 - Shot in the Last Month
00.02.04 - Shot in the Last ...
In addition to date criteria, these Smart Collections only return images that are in the Target collection "00.0 Current Working Target". You can see that because the collections are also sorted Alpha-numerically, the sort order is determined by me using a dot-decimal naming convention that also includes a meaningful character string.

Hey Jim, welcome to the forum!

So, does that mean you have a really loooooong list of folders in the Folders panel? Have you considered a hierarchy of folders that wouldn't need scrolling?
