CD drive release

When I export images to CD and then move on to another project and put in a CD to burn something unrelated to Lightroom, I can't find the CD. It doesn't show on the desktop or go to computer. I had been working around it by closing before I insert a CD but that takes a while to close and reopen so now I export one file to the desktop to get it to give up possession of my CD drive. Is their Lightroom an easier way to do this?

jpgnmt, welcome to the forums.

Just so we're clear, your profile says Mac, 1'.6.x, Lr 2.6. Is that all correct? (We'll need different folks to answer depending on the great Mac/Windows divide.)
