Import Catalog "Previous Import" shows a lot of older imports

Windows 11 Home with LR Version 6.14. The last days I importet several pictures. I transferred them all to their files, where they belong to, for instance "rose.jpg" to the file "flowers". Two days later "electic motor.jpg" to "machines". Works fine. But ... all previous imports still show up in the catalog "Previous Import"., not only the last import, as it shoud be.

The Catalog "Previous Import" shows imported pictures down to August 2025. Older imports, for instance 01.06.2025 and below does not show up in "Previous Import". Any idea, how to go back to "the good old days", when indeed only the last imported pictures are shown?

Update: I created a new LR database and imported the data from the corrupted one, about 23,000 pictures. Then I imported some pictures into the new darabase und did it once more. Now the catalog "Previous Import" shows only the the last import, as it should be. Crazy.

the Preferences file sometime goes wonky and this can produce very odd behaviors. You might try resetting preferences and see if your original catalog still produces this odd behavior.

Thank you for this hint, but where do I find this file? Sorry for my question, I'm a user of LR, not a specialist for it.
