Catalog not writable and cannot be opened

Hi, all -

I just bought a new laptop with Vista - my first Vista experience. I've just installed Lightroom 2.3 on the new Laptop and tried to access my catalogs.

I get the message "catalog is not writable and cannot be opened"

I've set the permissions and attributes, I don't know what else to do.

Not impressed with Vista so far..............

Any help appreciated, Thanks in advance.

Check the permissions of the folders, not just the catalogs themselves. It could be the parent folder that has incorrect permissions.
