Catalog file corrupt??

I backup once a week and I am getting a message,

The catalog file that you are trying to backup is corrupt and cannot be used by lightroom.

Why is this? Can I do anything to fix this? Oh and i have 87'' images in the catalog? Is this to many?

Just restore the last good working catalog from the recent backups... :frown:
As the number of images, Victoria work without any problem with catalogs of 1'''''+ :!:
