Library module Catalog Button Missing in LR5

The Catalog Button in LR5 library has disappeared. There is no little arrowhead switch where the button should be.
How do I recover the button?

What do you mean by "Catalog Button"? Are you referring to the Catalog Panel, or something else? See this screenshot of the LR5 Library module, can you tell from that what you think is missing?

Thank you for your reply.
The entire Catalog panel is missing, including the bar with the down arrow and Catalog label and all the entries down to the Folder panel.

OK, there are various ways to bring the panel back into view again:

1. Right-click on the Folders Panel header and you'll get a sub-menu which shows the various selectable panels, and "Catalog" will be unchecked. Click it to check it, and the panel will reappear.

2. On the menu bar, go to Window>Panels>Catalog

3. Keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+1
