Hi, I upgraded my LR 1.4.1 catalog to LR 2.1.

I then added a bunch of new pictures using LR 2.1, and I noticed that I now have two top level directories in the catalog, but they point to exactly the same location.

The client is Vista Ultimate x64, using the x64 version of LR 2.1.
The images are located on a Windows Server 2''8 x64 machine, and accessed over a file share.

All the pictures added using LR 1.x are under a root folder named "SERVER\Pictures".
All the pictures added using LR 2.x are under a root folder named "Server\Pictures".

Experimenting I found that I can "import photos from disk" and open a path to the pictures share using any form of case spelling in the browse dialog, and LR will create a unique root folder for each variant of cased spelling.
E.g. "SERVER", "SeRvEr", "ServeR", etc.

I can imagine that this case sensitive behavior will end up causing all sorts of issues with duplicate image comparison behaviors in other areas of the application.

Since both the client and the server are Windows machines, I expect LR to be like a well behaved Windows application, and maintain case, but not be case sensitive, especially when it comes to matching content.

How do I get LR to maintain but ignore case?

Ptr, no. Most helpful is computer hardware/software details. Versions, OS, etc. Camera gear is encouraged as well. Links to your work or interests, are also encouraged, if not overtly advertising.
