Can anyone tell me why my captions are not showing on my web template or website when made? Im using the midnight template. Ive entered data into the metadata section(captions) in the library of images and ticked caption, but they dont show :frown:

Thanks, I watched your tutorial, thats ok but on this post http://www.lightroomqueen.com/community/showthread.php?t=739
Victoria says "You do this in Library in the Metadata panel on the right. If you don't see Caption change the dropdown at the header of that section from Default to All.

Then in the template for the Web Gallery under Image Info check Title and/or Caption."

So I did that and it doesnt work. Your method is very fiddly, going into every image and having to manually enter the caption. So which is the correct way please?
Thanks in advance
Wendy

First of all, every image needs a caption. In the Library module, you need to assign captions to each image. You can do this one-at-a-time, or you can select multiple images and fill in captions en masse, if you want them to have the same caption. That's what Victoria was saying to do in the Metadata.

In the Web module, under the Image Info pane, you need to enable the Captions checkbox. Then, to the right, access the drop-menu and select Edit. Ensure that the Captions are being read from the correct IPTC field. If not, change it as shown in my tutorial.

I think that was Don! ;) :D

Glad to hear you've got it working Wendy!
