Can't view photos in LR2

I've just purchased and installed LR2 and for whatever reason, the actual photos aren't showing up on the screen. The photo information is there in the histogram area, but not the actual photo itself. Here's a screenshot -

Here are my import settings - all set to default.

Thanks also for including screen shots, very helpful.
Now I think your problem is probably related to a corrupt monitor profile. LR is very good at finding these!
You should try setting your monitor to sRGB and relaunch LR.

You may now want to look at some sort of calibration device to set up a profile that is more optimal.
