Just started using LR2 and want to upload to a free website at Google which I just set up. In 'upload settings' opened the box 'configure FTP file transfer' and am stumped. In 'server path' I'm assuming that the google HTTP address for the website. However, what goes in the box titled ' server'? What is the host name?

If you are using sites.google for your site then I don't think you can upload via FTP. My understanding is that it is more of a wiki-like interface, which means all editing is done via your browser. I think you can embed a picasa web gallery as a slideshow, but I don't think you can upload a Lightroom web gallery to it.

Is that what you are using?

uploading to website

Thank you Rob. That is what I'm trying to do. I'm in the 'web' mode of LR2 and want to move the photos to the new website that I set up at sites.Google.
I figure that there must be a way to do it as the purpose of this 'web' mode is to move photos to a website.

Yeah, but from what I saw of sites.google is that it isn't providing you with your own hosted web server, but rather access to Google's wiki-web-tool-thingy, which does have some cool features, but it is not what Lightroom's web gallery is designed for. Granted, I've only just poked around at sites.google, so perhaps someone who knows more will correct my assumptions.

What I would suggest is looking at the Lightroom to Picasaweb export plugin, then creating some picasaweb galleries and perhaps you could integrate them into your sites.google account.
