I guess this must have been pointed out before - in which case I apologise for repeating it 
While Lightroom accepts accented characters in captions and keywords there is no easy way of getting them in there - I am having to use an external text editor and cutting/pasting text.
The reason seems to be a Lightroom-specific keyboard driver which re-interprets the "dead" accent key as being an apostrophe - my "á" (two keystrokes, a dead-key "´" followed by "a") becomes "´a" .....
This obviously doesn't affect those keyboard setups that dedicate keys to accented characters - but with accents used over every single vowel I don't think we Icelanders could get away with that!
