Can't Import

I'm a very experienced user of Lightroom Classic and i CAN'T IMPORT ANY IMAGES into Lightroom !
I haven't needed to import any images for several months, but now I can't import anything from my camera, the cards themselves or from my hard drive
I have been using LR for over 8 years and have processed over 70,000 images so it's not like I'm a beginner.
No matter from where I try to import no images will display in LR for me to import. Nothing displays for me to Copy as DNG, Add, Copy or Move.

Any Suggestions ?

Weird. I take it you are not seeing the standard 'No Photos Found' message regardless of the From/Source selected

If @Johan Elzenga Preference reset has no effect, check your system activity to see if there is any I/O. If you are not getting the 'No Photos Found' message it could be LrC is still searching and my be stuck. Have you added any new devices lately?

Same here - Import dialog opens, I can start import, it even copies the photos to the target folder (if you check in finder), but the photos won't appear in my lr catalog. Tried syncing the folder, it acts as if it would import the pictures, but again does not display any pictures

It did work in a blank test catalog though...

Yes, I see a blank screen. There is no message "No Photos Found".

Importing worked perfectly after RESETTING PREFERENCES ! THANK YOU !

Resetting preferences solved the problem. Thank you for your help

Didn't work for me - reverted to LR 10.2 - works fine again
