Can't Get FTP to Work

I'm trying to set up an FTP export. I can connect to the server and browse to the folder I want, so I know the login info is correct. The problem is that when I try to export, I get the message "An internal error has occurred: assertion failed!". Any ideas?

Where are you doing this? Web or with the new FTP Export Plugin provided as a sample with the SDK package or from Jeffrey Friedl's Blog?

If you are using 1.2 it will be the later, if so try updating to 1.3 and checkout the new FTP Plugin, info in the Plugin Subforum.

Have you updated to LR1.3 ?? The SDK only works with 1.3 I believe.
I have deleted the post from the SDK sub forum so as the topic is not scattered, in future please keep topics together. Threads can be moved to different sub forums if needed by a moderator.

I just tested to FTP Plugin. Worked fine for me. It used the same FTP info I had already set for Web FTP in LR. I Uploaded 3 images to my FTP space and confirmed their presence with Captain FTP.

Are you sure you have the correct settings for the FTP?

Are you using the same exact settings without problem with another FTP client?

Yes, I'm obviously connecting OK because I can browse to the folders on the server. It's only the upload that fails.

This is really bizarre. I checked the "put in subfolder" box. I uploaded with no problem. Then, I unchecked it. It still works. I tried the same thing on my laptop and it worked there too. I may never understand it, but it's working fine now.

Windows XP, whatsit 2

I believe that I have the server set up correctly because I do connect.

?
