can't create snapshot

I want to create a snapshot - but it fails without any obvious error.

I click the + button, enter the new name and then enter lightroom just goes back to the import snapshot and nothing happens.

I'm convinced that I'm missing something simple, but what limitations are there in lightroom that would not allow me to create a snapshot in this particular state??

Gareth, how are you selecting the image? Can you post a screen shot?
Is this Windows or Mac? LR2.2?

I tried exiting and restarting lightroom (again!) - and it seems to have solved this.

Bit odd though...

I was in develop module. LR 2.1 and Mac.

Not selecting image as such, just trying to add a snapshot. Can't get to to fail now!

Don't you love that kind of 'general weirdness' snapper?! Good to hear it's sorted - a restart is often a good idea if things aren't quite right.
