Cannot see all photos in LR

Hi

I have folder on my hard disk called Miscellaneous in which there are 47 photos but I can only see 38 of these in the LR Library module.

The remaining 9 photos are all bmp files which I can quite happily see in Photoshop so they are valid and not corrupt. When I try and import them into LR using the Import Photos from Disk option they don't show up in the file listing.

Does anyopne have any clues or suggestions as to what I can do to get them into LR? I am using LR 1.3.1

BMP format isn't supported in LR David, sorry! You could convert them to another format though.

Wonder why bmp files aren't supported 'cos LR is such a good piece of software????

Because it's designed for digital photographers, and cameras don't use bmp's I think.
