Cannot register Lightroom 2.5

I cannot register Lightroom 2.5. Have a valid serial number and go thru the process of entering it and my name, etc. Lightroom then opens and I can use it once. ONCE. If I quit it and open it again I am presented with the screen asking if I have a serial number or want to buy one or use as a trial.
The maddening thing is : I only have 17 days left for my " trial period"

Also, Adobe support stinks. Talked to several people from god knows where who knew nothing.

HELP !!

Hi drbubba, welcome to the forum!

Don't panic! Try the details in this technote: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/4'1/kb4'1346.html It refers to LR1, but the principle's the same for LR2.

And if that doesn't do the trick, come back and we'll see what else we can do.
