I have been using lightroom for about a month and never had problems with exporting. I imported about 1''' photos made a quick collection of 353 and edited them. I saved it as a catalog, hit control A to select them all, hit export and chose where to save them. I recieved the error message of, "an error occured while exporting, 352 photos failed to export". I am not good at trouble shooting and have no idea what to do. Please can someone help me?

R Bergmen, first, Welcome to LR Forums!. Sorry you've encountered problems.

"I saved it as a catalog". What exactly do you mean? What is "it", and what did you do to "save" "it"?

"Hit control-A, hit export ....." That is correct, and should have worked. Are you absoulutely positive you have write-access to the location you specified to export to? Have you tried again, with one or many images? To different locations?

What kind of Mac/PC, OS, LR version, filetypes (RAW vs. JPG) etc. are you using?

There should be some extra information following that error message, which would provide a few more clues.

First thing to check - if you click on one of those files and go into Develop, does it open ok?

Thank you both for your replies! I figured out what happened! I had accidentally erased the original files on my hard drive so LR had nothing to write the edits onto in the export! Dumb mistake! thank you again and I will be coming here for all questions!
