Is this possible as I don't see such option in LR. This would come in handy for my travel photos.

Believe it or not, the EXIF standard doesn't provide a mechanism for encoding the timezone, except in the GPS data. So LR can't do it, and nothing else can do it either.

Lightroom could provide its own metadata field for this to be populated later, but Adobe generally doesn't do this -- for the most part, they follow existing metadata standards such as EXIF, IPTC, and TIFF.
There are third-party plugins that populate their own metadata fields, and use them to modify standardized fields on export. I could envision one that allowed the user to enter timezone information, and then adjusted the EXIF data accordingly on export, but I'm not sure that would actually solve the problem.
The Right Solution is to petition JEITA to add timezone to a future revision of the EXIF standard.

I understand.
But I see the needed info is there (GPS, date/time (must be UTC I think)) to get the timezone out of a list, and from there create the Location details and local date/time.
Most important (hmm, what IS important) to me is the creation of location out of the GPS-data.
All fields are there, specified. Just need a piece of software that can take care of this.
