Forgive me if I'm missing something obvious here, I'm a new user who has spent several hours trying to figure this one out.

Can I put text, unique to each slide, on slides in Slideshow. From what I can see; it appears (hard to believe though) that you can only enter text if it is to be displayed on all slides

Thanks for any help

You can set a Caption in the Metadata panel in Grid mode, and then have that displayed on the Slideshow (choose Caption from the dropdown menu that appears when you hit the ABC button). That will only show a caption on the images for which you've set a caption, and others will be blank.

And welcome to the forum AJR! Would you like to add your system specs to your signature, as it'll help us give really specific advise to help you. Great to have you on board!

Hello Again

Well it's more than a year later, I have lightroom 2 and for some reason my photoshop elements 4 (which I've been using for slideshows) is not working. I get that you can put the caption or title on each slide and it will be different for each slide but, just for due diligence here, is there any way I can put unique text--in a unique location--for each slide?

Thanks

Al
