Can I factory reset old macbook pro 2017 and install last version of lightroom CD

Hello, Your advice helped me before, so I am hoping again:

A friend gave their old 2017 macbook pro, and a factory rest will apparently start it up again with High Sierra. Since the cloud version of Adobe Suite and lightroom is so expensive - Do you think I could try to install my CD version of final lightroom (believe its 6.10 witha 6.12 final update)

I dont need any internet/ or other programs - just photoshop and lightroom, or just lightroom... will this work? and then dont need to pay yearly ?

You could try it, but the problem is that Lightroom will want to verify the license online, and the license servers are gone.
