Does desktop have the camera simulation options as in Fuji Velvia, vivid, portaight, pro neg Eterna ,etcetc like in LR C?

It'll have any profiles that are in LRC, yes.

I can’t find them lol
Assuming you are talking about LR's inbuilt profiles the Fuji profiles will only be visible when editing Fuji RAW (RAF) files. I've attached a screenshot below. Basically go to the Edit panel, then the Profiles Icon (icon with 3 squares and a magnifying glass. The profiles should be in the "Camera Matching" section.

If you are actually talking about third party Lightroom profiles and presets (which usually work with any camera) you need to import them into LR Desktop using the "File-> Import Profiles & Presets" menu option. The third party presets/profiles will work with LRc or Lightroom Desktop.

Hi John,I actually found it and I did think it was because I hadn't got a Raf file and it works great ,thanks.
I have another question if you can help me please.
How do I create a pre set to apply to all my Raf-s I bring inland how do I save it?
I will be trying to do this whilst awaiting a reply. thanks you.
Also do you have an option as in classic to convert raw files to DNG on import if needed?
thank you again

ok I've done it all apart from I can't see how to get the preset to automatically apply itself on the import of any raw file?
just looking at DNG now
edit I've now done that via Lightroom preferences and its working great. just need to see if I can do the DNG one
