Camera Raw 5.1 for LR?

Hi,

Is there a way (how?) to import or use ACR 5.1 in or with LR 2.1?

It is all down to release timings. ACR had to catch up with Lightroom's featureset, and Lightroom was released before Photoshop CS4, so Lightroom was on 4.6 which was more advanced that Photoshop's 5.'!!!

Where is the confusion in that? :D

Boils down to the question: new ACR means new LR because there is no plugin update possible?

Yep, that is the way LR is designed. It makes all the new camera updates easier and timely. Helps with quicker fixes to the bugs too!!:lol::lol:

Yeps, you're right in that "mate" (that is what you call eachother (no pun intended!)?). But I will comply (I have too). Nikon is working the same way and as I think about it all photoprograms work that way. Maybe it is too hide the code needed for the raw-conversion better ...
