I recently downloaded some new (Beta) camera profiles from the Adobe Labs website and installed them by copying them into Users/nikplayer/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles/ as per normal. I have now removed them but one still shows up as an option on some D7'' images but not all D7'' images. These are DNGs. The NEF's seem to be ok but I haven't checked all of them of course !

If I select the profile it actually works as expected too.

Very strange, I wondered if they were cached somewhere else ?

So far I have removed all profiles and default settings (including index.dat files) and emptied the ACR cache but this hasn't helped. Its not a big issue but I would like to clean it up if possible.

I think I have worked out what is happening, the profile must be embedded in the dng somehow. I'm just not sure why its embedded in some dngs and not others. They all had it applied at some stage while I was testing but maybe it didn't get written out as xmp data to all of them.

Yeah, if you'd cmd-s'd them, it would have embedded the profile.

It is also a good thing that the developed image don't get modified by supressing the profiles originally used I think.
