Camera Profile for LR

Hi

I would like to create as an acurate profile for MY Canon 5D in LR as possible. I have just got a color checker and would like a "for dumbies" workflow guide to creating this.

Few qu's
1 do i need to take an image of the color checker in RAW or Jpeg?
2 do i need to take an image of the color checker with each WB setting/choice i have available on my camera or just daylight and tungston

If you've got Photoshop, there's a nice automated script which will do it for you.

First, you photograph the color checker in Raw. Then you open the image in ACR and follow the instructions here: http://www.fors.net/chromoholics/support/?w=InstallationGuide and the script you download from http://www.fors.net/chromoholics/downloads/index.php. That script does all the work for you, and gives you a document listing the Calibration settings, which you can then save as a preset for ACR and in Lightroom. There's suggestions on that instructions page on the lighting conditions to photograph using too.

Can't find a definitive answer for this so far - if you profile your camera and set this as a develop default, does the profile affect RAW *and* JPG imports? Seems to me you'd want a different profile for the two file types.

does it work for 3'D & 35'D ?

Prebuilt profiles are already build into Lightroom and ACR - custom calibration is specific to each camera, so downloading other people's won't usually help much.

Victorias comment is correct although prebulit ones can give a good starting point to work from and have enabled me to expand what I can do by seeing how others do things.

Icc Profile For My Cannon Pro9000 Printer

Since I Am Very New To Lr I Have A Question As Far As Downloading And Setting Up Icc Profiles On My Cannon Pro9''' Printer.

Where Do I Go To Download These Profiles (website) And Ihow Do I Set Them Up In Lr Once I Have Installed THEM.

Do I Need To Go To The Printer Papers Website To Download Them Or Is There An Easier More Effecient Way.

Any Suggestions Would Be Helpful.
