Greetings. I am new to the forum and I have a question about LR color profiles versus camera profiles. I am using LR 2.2 and I have a Nikon D7'' camera where I only shoot RAW files. When I load the raw files into LR I see them for an instant in the preview as the native camera color then it changes to a less desirable color and I can not get back to the camera color. I know why this is happening but I want to be able to control it. Right now I can't use the images without a lot of tweaking, and all I want is the way I shot it..

Also where is the camera Calibration module in LR 2.2 ?

Thanks in advance !

Rich, First welcome to the forums.

The Camera Calibration panel is in the extreme Lower Right Hand Panel in Develop Module. The camera matching profiles provided there should get you much closer to Nikon's in-camera JPG rendering (which is what you're seeing in the momentary preview) or the Capture Nx converters.

all I want is the way I shot it..

You may be operating under a misapprehension here; what you're seeing in Lr's develop module, is in fact how you shot it. The rendering of a proprietary raw file by a third party convertor, is fundamentally a matter of opinion. The only correct rendering is that of the manufacturer's software, and that only by definition.

You can find a fairly succinct summary of the situation here.
