Camera Calibration Prifile

Maybe I am missing something, and if so please set me straight.

In ACR you can set the profile so that every time you go into ACR a specific profile is applied. i.e. I can set a default for my D3'' to use the new D2X Mode 3 for every file. But in LR it seems I have to set up preset to be applied on import or select all the file and sync to a file with that applied.

One problem I see with this is that in the Sync screen I don't have an option to just sync the profile, it's an all or nothing from that panel.

I would really like someone to tell me I'm wrong.

David, just take an image, set nothing on the panels, except the D2X profile in the calibration panel in Develop. Hold down alt/opt, see the 'Reset' button, far lower right, turn into 'Set Default'. Press that, and the selected profile becomes the new default.

If I understand your question correctly, I think that's what you're looking for.

And if you want to apply this to all your previous D3'' photos, create a preset with just the Camera Profile change, select them all and apply the preset.
