Calibration - Mac Pro/Eizo/Spyder3Elite

Hi,
I have now finally calibrated my Eizo CE24'W with a Spyder3Elite - using Eizo's Colour Navigator Software which works directly with the monitor's in-built colour management hardware, I selected 'Photography/Graphic Design' as my 'Target' (the other is 'Printing'). The Eizo and Spyder then 'got to know each-other' and the monitor now looks drastically different - darker, richer tones. The process was very simple.
At the moment I am using the monitor to edit images to be published via web.
Questions:
- Given i'm just editing for the web, I take it I do not have to do anything else re: calibration?
- I will be editing for the first time next week re: prints to be printed by a lab. they have sent me their printing ICC profile. what do i do with this profile?
- How do i set-up Lightroom to recognise the ICC profile?
- How do i manage settings within Lightroom to account for all this e.g. switching between editing for web and prints?

In the print module, choose Print To: JPEG file, then just below, choose the lab's designated profile, and start with Perceptual intent. If you have Photoshop, might be worth having a look at one of the target images, soft-proofed with the lab profile.[/color]

This is the first wedding where I aim to have a 1''% LR workflow. here's what i'm doing:
- using a calibrated Eizo monitor- editing RAW images- will be sending to lab so wish to use their ICC profile when exporting images ready for print- i want to crop images individually and add a standard-sized small solid white border. - most of the time these images will be cropped to standard sizes; sometimes they will be custom sized crops
i've watched: http://www.lightroomkillertips.com/2''8/video-printing-1'1/ but i still have a few more questions:
- what's the easiest way to say, crop an image as 7 x 5 and add a small white border whilst still retaining that 7 x 5 size? bear in mind that when exporting, i would like to retain the ICC profile and ensure that Adobe sRGB is the colour space.
- is there any way i can bypass the print module
- i have little understanding re: colour management and zero re: osx coloursync. at this stage, i have simply calibrated the monitor as mentioned in my original post and noted that via the print module i can select the ICC profile of the lab. given that the eizo is calibrating via it's own software (colournavigator) and that coloursync is also operating somehow, are there any conflicts i should be aware of?
- should i switch the 'Target' via the Eizo's Colour navigator to print instead of 'Photography & Graphic Design'?
- ideally, from a workflow perspective, it would be brilliant if i could do the following:
> after editing, crop the images how i want with the resolution i want
> LRmogrify to carry-out the following batch-export:
1. add a standard sized solid white border to all the images - say 3mm (ideally it would overlay this instead of adding pixels...but i could work around that if this isn't possible)
2. export all as high quality JPEGs, at desired 24'-3''dpi setting, sRGB colourspace AND with the lab's ICC profile recognised
is this possible - pls tell me it is....PLS!!!!! i will go away and try but i know that perhaps many others may have had to do something like this so the solution may be out there already.

- Use a 5x7 paper size and make sure the cell size is smaller to create a border. Use equal margins and zoom to fill. Then use Brad's Print to JPEG settings
-Use LR/2Mogrify is the only other way to create borders.
-Don't know as I just use my own (Gretag) calibrator. In theory it should all be fine. You'll know pretty quick when you see a print.
-No idea.
-1. is doable with mogrify
2.You can attach one profile, either the Labs, or sRGB. If it's for the Lab select it from the Other tab in export. Lightroom will do the conversion on export.

I can't add much to Sean's comments, because I don't use Mac or Eizo Color.
You can add a border directly in the Print Module, which is set in 'point' size. In this context, the point is 1/72 inch, or '.3528 mm. So, for a 3mm border, you'd need approx 8.5 points.
I've attached a screen-cap of 5x7 paper with a 3mm border. Note this method 'shrinks' the output image to fit. The border is not overlaid. If you need the overlay method, you'll need to Mogrify, I think.

Thanks Sean / Brad, Here's what i have tried. I'm guessing there may be alternative ways to achieve the same thing however if the following method actually works then from a workflow perspective, it will be very helpful to me: 1. edited the raw image as per usual on calibrated monitor 2. cropped the image within Develop module to 9x6 3. exported via LRMogrify setting the colour space to the ICC profile provided by lab (added border, sharpening etc. i haven't touched the print module at all. i'm guessing that given i do not need to do any fancy layouts or print at home, and for batch processing purposes, LRMogrify will be more useful than the print module if it works. i checked the file info once i had exported the test image and it showed up with the lab's ICC profile which is good news. i guess i will only know if it has all worked by sending it off to the lab and checking it against my screen when it gets back. however, here's the remaining problem i'm having which has left me stumped - using LRMogrify under the Image Sizing Tab, although i am not selecting Resize Image (I am just setting the resolution to 254ppi which is what the lab requires), the exported file still shows up as 72ppi when i use Inspector to look at it. even when i use the resizing option and set the resizing to 9x6 (figuring my images it is already this size/proportions so it probably wouldn't mess with my image), the image is still exported at 72ppi. why is LRMogrify not actually changing the ppi or am i missing something? also does LRMogrify add extra pixels to the image when you request that it adds borders or does it replace pixels i.e. does it make your image larger or leave it the same size after adding borders? having just seen your reply Brad, i think you're saying that it doesn't mess with the actual size of my image - just pastes borders directly over the edges as it were - which isn't too bad a thing. i can cope with that. does anyone think that i can achieve what i need to by using the print module solely - i.e. am i better off ignoring LRMogrify? thanks.

Just skimming quickly due to workload, but I will just answer this one. You don't have to use either of the presets - create your own, set to 65''k, Gamma 2.2, brightness 1''cd/m2 if you work in dim light to 12'cd/m2 if you work in daylight. It's a good 'standard'.

will keep trying to figure out what's happening with LRMogrify and the resolution issue.
